couleur dans la ville

色块节拍
Colour in the City
Hyoni Kang looks as delightful as ever in these monochrome ensembles, styled by Morgan Pilcher and photographed by Lincoln Pilcher for the September 2011 edition of Vogue China. Someone once told me that I looked like Hyoni Kang, and as you can imagine I laughed incredulously but beamed for the remainder of the day, or was it week?!

les arbres

there is this magnificent tree
right in front of my house,
i plan to climb it this spring
i adore the scent of bark,
it's so fresh and distinct,
it makes me reminisce
of childhood, and of
playgrounds, of
scraped knees
and of no
insecurities;
growing up
has broken me,
pick up the pieces,
go back to the place
where there was no
care in the world

le cinq septembre

September, come so soon?
You, who have brought along Spring and its delights. This is the month that marks remembering. Last time you were here, September, you took away my most dearest friend. And now, you have come back, with the same sunny disposition and laughing flowers, but now you have brought with you a relentless wind of nostalgia, that is sweeping me away. Here comes the longing for things that are no longer attainable, no longer tangible.
September, come so soon?
But you too, shall leave so soon. Your laughing flowers will decay;
your sunny disposition will hide away; but the nostalgia you bring?
It won't really leave, it never really did.
